It’s not often that a brand new player arrives in the digital printing industry. But we’ve got one now.
The unique advantage of digital printing technology is that it breaks the bond between application and printing method. This has been clear for several years, and it is why applications rather than technology drive the graphics industry these days. So it makes perfect sense that the latest player in the digital printing sector has come up with technology that can allegedly be configured to deliver any printed product.
Mouvent was founded in June 2017 specifically to build digital printing presses based on a unique printhead design developed by one of its founders. The eighty person company is a joint venture set up by Bobst, best known for packaging technology, and Radex. This rather less well known name is the inventor of Mouvent’s innovative new printhead. Mouvent will launch three new label presses at Label Expo, taking place in Brussels.
