Xeikon shifts up a gear to partner with EFI for digital label printing.

It’s been a torrid few weeks for Xeikon, culminating in the announcement that the company is taking over all aspects of sales, service and support for EFI’s line of Jetrion label and narrow web inkjet systems. The addition of this label printing technology to its portfolio means that Xeikon takes over from EFI as the largest provider of UV inkjet label presses in the market.

This is an exclusive partnership and under the deal Xeikon will sell, service, support and supply Jetrion technologies worldwide. It gives Xeikon access to the entire Jetrion customer base, 50% of which is in the USA where Xeikon’s presence is more muted than it is in Europe. The deal expands Xeikon’s portfolio of digital dry toner and UV inkjet presses for the self-adhesive label market and Jetrion will coexist with Xeikon’s Panther technologies.
